TERMS & CONDITIONS
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
L. Leo Talstoy is widely appreciated by students and dance enthusiasts from India and across the world for his experience, teaching and journey in the performing arts.
Students and parents are encouraged to understand Mr. Leo’s experience, achievements and dance journey as part of their learning experience at the Academy.
Mr. Leo expects every student to enjoy and experience the true art of dance through his teaching, with focus, discipline, dedication and without unnecessary distractions or deviations.
Come with an open mind. Empty yourself to receive the knowledge, experience and artistic guidance that Mr. Leo shares through his teaching.
Dance is not only about learning steps. It is about understanding the art, developing discipline, expressing yourself and enjoying the journey of learning.
1. DRESS CODE
• Comfortable clothing is recommended for Freestyle classes (Kids & Adults).
• Professional attire is required for specific dance styles, as advised by the instructor.
• Leo’s Dance Academy T-shirt is recommended for classes, events, workshops and performances.
2. FOOTWEAR
• Please leave footwear in the designated area outside the studio.
• Wear appropriate dance shoes as advised by the instructor.
• Socks are recommended for Freestyle Dance classes.
3. COMPENSATION / MAKE-UP CLASSES
• Compensation classes may be requested only for a valid reason, such as a medical issue or serious emergency.
• Please contact the reception or administration in advance to request a compensation class.
• Compensation classes must be utilized within one month.
• If a student takes leave or is absent from a class, the class will be marked as ABSENT and will not be eligible for compensation.
• If the teacher cancels a class, the missed class will be eligible for compensation.
• Classes cancelled by the Academy due to emergencies or government holidays will also be eligible for compensation.
4. PAYMENT VALIDITY
• Fees are valid for one month from the date of joining, unless otherwise specified.
• Fees are applicable only for the subscribed number of classes.
5. WEEK 5 / EXTRA DAYS
• If all the subscribed classes for the month are completed before the month ends, the remaining days will be treated as holidays.
• Example: If a student has subscribed for 12 classes and all 12 classes are completed before the end of the month, there will be no regular classes for the remaining days of that month.
• Students who join in the middle of a month may continue their pending subscribed classes beyond the calendar month. These classes will be carried forward until the subscribed number of classes is completed.
6. REFUND POLICY
• Fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable.
• Special requests due to medical or serious emergencies may be submitted to the Administration for review.
7. SOCIAL MEDIA, PRINT & PUBLICITY
• Photos and videos taken during classes, recitals, workshops, performances and events may be used for Academy promotional purposes.
• Student achievements, examinations, certifications, endorsements, volunteer activities and recognitions may be published on Academy platforms.
8. RECITALS, PERFORMANCES & WORKSHOPS
• Annual Stage Recital: Open to all students.
• Monthly Studio Showcase: Conducted within the studio.
• Public performance opportunities may be offered on a rotational basis.
• Attendance, discipline and performance quality may be considered when selecting students for public performances.
• Workshops may be offered to students at reasonable participation fees.
• Event hosts and emcees are selected by L. Leo Talstoy.

10. GENERAL RULES
• Students must maintain discipline and respect fellow students, instructors and Academy property.
• Marketing, promotion, solicitation or business activities directed towards Academy students are not permitted without prior approval.
• Participation in Academy activities, performances, workshops and events is voluntary.
• Students and parents must not collect or share other students’ phone numbers, contact information, photographs or personal details for personal benefit, marketing or unrelated activities.
• Leo’s Dance Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
• Enrollment in any class constitutes acceptance of the Academy’s Terms & Conditions and policies.
